Pink Lemonade

1 cup sugar
10 cup water
1 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup grenadine


Cook sugar and 1 cup water in a saucepan, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Cool; pour into a large container. Stir in remaining 9 cups water, lemon juice, grenadine, and, if desired, raspberries. Chill 2 hours.
